Terms of Trade

Honesty is the best policy.

These terms cover how ordering, refunds, returns, and exchanges work at Everett Co Pty Ltd. Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

How Pre-orders Work

Everett is made in small, numbered batches. When you place a pre-order, you are reserving a garment in the current batch before it goes into production. You pay at the time of ordering, and we get to work. Once a batch reaches its confirmation date, production begins and your garment is cut, sewn, numbered, and shipped to you on the timeline shown at checkout. We will keep you updated by email.

Refunds Before Batch Confirmation

Life changes from time to time. You can cancel your pre-order at any time before the batch is confirmed for production and receive a full refund. Just email us at hello@everettco.com.au with your order number and we will process the refund to your original payment method, usually within 3 to 5 business days.

After Batch Confirmation

Once a batch is confirmed, the fabric is ordered and our manufacturing partners begin work. From that point, your payment is committed to production and we can no longer offer a change-of-mind refund, because a real garment with your serial number is being made. If something significant changes for you after confirmation, still get in touch. We are a small team and we will always do what we reasonably can to help.

Returns and Exchanges

If your garment arrives and the size is not quite right, we offer a free exchange within 30 days of delivery, provided the garment is unworn, unwashed, and is completely intact. Swimwear is a personal item, so we cannot resell anything that has been worn or swum in. Not going to lie though, exchanges are annoying for you and us, and shipping is expensive, so if you have any concerns about sizing, it's more preferable to get in touch before ordering and we'll try and help size you up. Everett swimwear contains only one kind of yarn to improve recyclability and the recovery of materials. The lack of elastane means slightly less stretch. Therefore, as a general rule, size up if you're unsure. If we no longer have your preferred size in stock (which is likely with batched production), we will offer you a place at the front of the next batch or a refund, whichever you prefer.

Faulty Garments

We stand behind every unit we make. If your garment has a manufacturing fault, we will repair it, replace it, or refund you in full, at your choice, in line with Australian Consumer Law. This applies for the reasonable life of the garment, not just a token warranty window. Having said that, swimwear is made to be worn, and that means it's going to get some natural wear and tear over time. Normal wear and tear doesn't count as a manufacturing fault, so please treat your garments with love and care, including how you wear it and how you keep it clean. Send us a photo and your serial number, and we will take it from there. You will never pay for shipping on a faulty item.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. We do not add surprise fees, and any shipping cost is shown clearly before you commit.

Our Promise to You

These terms are meant to be fair, and to be read, not buried. If anything here is unclear, or if your situation does not fit neatly into a policy, or if you think we can improve this policy, email us. We would rather lose a sale than lose your trust.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Trade from time to time. The version in effect when you place your order is the one that applies to that order. When we make changes, we will update the date at the bottom of this page.
